So most of the G1 stuff I recently bought has been MIB. Today, I bought 6 new figures. 4 TFCs and 2 Reissues. I didn't realize that the TFC was MISB. Now I find it hard to open them up and pop that minty freshness on it.

What the hell is wrong with me. I opened up 25 classics figures last year without blinking an eye. But this I have a problem with?

I feel your pain. I bought a TFC Starscream in December 2010, and I still haven't opened him up. For the exact same reason you're talking about. It's not about ruining the value of the toy - it just feels like it'll become less special the minute I break the seal and take him out of the box.

Irrational as hell, but...there you have it.

Open them. Put the stickers on. Enjoy having accessories to attach and remove from the sprues. It's one of life's little pleasures that you seldom get to enjoy.

I want to open tracks, but he looks so awesome, even without the stickers.

Now I need to get TFC hot rod.

I haven't left a figure in the package since the Ultraforce foil chase figs, and I've never been happier.

I know the feeling as well. Bought the commemorative Sideswipe & book style G1 Megatron at Botcon. Stared at them for 2 weeks then figured, well I'll never be able to fully experience these guys till I do it & finally opened them. Haven't looked back since. Now for some reason I can NOT bring myself to open United Axalon. At least until I buy a 2nd one lol.

Well these will be opened. But it is so funny how one piece of freaking tape really makes you think twice!

Totally man, there is a special feeling about a pristine toy, untouched in its original packaged glory. Totally awesome. Particularly the G1's. The TFC bookshelf versions are pretty cool as well.

I remember buying some of those TFC's few years back. I was so impressed by the packaging I left them sealed. I just loved that you could open them up like a book and it had descriptions(in japanese though) and pics of that figure and the figure itself was clearly visible with all its accessories
