This movie (even with its flaws) will top DOTM for sure.

With the World Cup crap wrapping up I'm half expecting it to reach a billion in the next week or so...it's finally opening in the European and Spanish markets and it's already over halfway there even WITHOUT them.

    INCREDIBLE.

The first Wednesday of AoE in the UK is soon to come as well.

Yeh DOTM had done better in America by this point, but i think overall AoE will top DOTM with in the next few weeks. Unlike DOTM, AoE was more advertised all across the world and not mainly in the US. There are people who probably haven't even realised it's out, and some could be waiting till the holidays start to take their kids etc. It will pick up in the states without a doubt.

TF5 is pretty much confirmed :lol

I don't really think negative reviews have much to factor in. Bay films are pretty much bullet-proof (ROTF was largely panned and yet people went to see it).

My guess is there just isn't enough repeat-value for some. Though I also see it hitting the plateau of around $250-275 million before the summer ends, with little chance of hitting the domestic benchmarks of its previous 3.

Maybe some just didn't care for the more serious, bleak tones.

I honestly do think that the American market has his its bottom with Bay movies. I think that they will consistently make around 250 million to 300 million from now on. That does not mean that the movies are bad, simply that the movies in America have finally found their core fanbase that will constantly see it. Basically, the movies can makes their entire budget back in America.

However, overseas is where the money for TF movies can be made. They have rapidly expanding markets and seem to love TFs.

With both of these factors, plus TFs becoming a global brand, I am sure that we will have a TF movie make 1.5 billion dollars eventually, if not AOE, then TF 5.
