Animated season four only has only one real way of happening, comics.

No thanks. There is less to ruin with Regeneration One. Worst case scenario: Hey, it was just the Marvel Comics continuity. No great loss.

I wouldn't want a continuation of Animated unless the show's writers wrote it and show's artists drew it. I don't even want to contemplate who IDW would stick on the book if it were left up to them.

It's been made pretty clear by IDW that should it happen, Isenberg will spearhead it.

I'll give it a shot in that case. But I remain skeptical due to the current trend of continuing tv shows in comic form that tend to feel (to me) like let downs.

When something is great, I kind of prefer they not go back and fiddle with it, regardless of whether they considered it unfinished.

I'd much rather have direct-to-DVD TFA movies than a Season 4.

While I feel that once a TF generation dies, it should stay dead, I don't really like what's replaced it. So I don't know how I feel.

I agree. It's about time TFs had some direct to video series goodness like DC has.

1 hr. 15 min. running time. Short feature stories using G1/Beast Wars/Armada/Movie/Animated/Prime/comics/War for Cybebertron/Headmasters/Victory/

maybe even something crazy like the TF Star Wars cross overs.

Like it or not, animated is done, final.
The only thing animated i want to see is season 3 on dvd.
(Come on hasbro & cartoon network,
get off collective butts, get it done.)
The continuing of animated in comics does have some merit.
Darkhorse does a good job with the star wars & buffy franchises.
If IDW can bring in old team, it might work.
Direct-to-video idea is good as well.
And not just for animated, but for other continuitys as well.
As a series though, animated is done.

1st I want an Animated complete series boxset.

Then maybe some TFA comics or OVAs.

Most of all, I just want whatever current TF series to have as much thought, effort, imagination, and affection for the brand put into it as TFA did.

And that is NOT the case with dull, bland, boring, lifeless TFP.

Man, I wish people would stop acting like Animated was a saintly show. It was pretty damn good, but it wasn't near perfect. It had its ups (Bulkhead's genius level intelligence, Megatron being a boss, Ratchet's backstory, the constant references, Wyatt's GLORIOUS style), and its downs (the way Blackarachnia was handled, the corny human villains, lack of serious storytelling in the first two seasons, choppy animation, and having most of 'cons be incompetent and stupid).

That being said, comics, I would totally go for, but they are not going to bring back a 5 year old show just like that.

Or you can stop comparing Prime to Animated and think of the show on it's own.

Unless they have a sequel, maybe.
    Still EXTREMELY unlikely.

I liked Animated, but I really don't want to see it again

I felt that the last episodes wrapped the plot up in an acceptable way. It would've been nice to see an end to the Waspinator and Constructicon plots, as well as have an explanation for what Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Slipstream were doing, but I'm still content
