So about 12 years ago I came across a seller that found a couple factory cases of star sabers. I bought 3 of them literally case fresh for $150 a piece. I opened one for myself and still have the other two sitting pretty. What do you think a case fresh AFA'd Star Saber would go for today?

Dear first time poster... If this is real (and you know what they say: pics or it didn't happen), I'm sure they would go for 'quite a lot'. Depends on the grade of course, and also on the box art version.

C-324 Star Saber has two variants of its box art:

    First version
    Second version

I believe the first version is slightly less common.

Sorry this is my second account on here, couldn't remember the password to it or the password to the email address I had connected to it. The box however is the first edition think, the more vertical boxart as opposed to the horizontal of the other.

I don't really plan on selling them ever as headmasters, masterforce, victory, and zone are my favorite lines. They're the only sealed figures I have as well. So figured getting them graded would be the appropriate way of keeping them that way. Just wondering what they might sell for.

Great find, and even ungraded they'll each be worth a LOT more than the $150 you paid for them (I'm guessing at least 10 times as much: i.e. $1500+). AFA items are attractive to a select group of TF fans, but they are TF fans with generally deep pockets! And Star Saber is one of the most iconic Masterforce Transformers, which are all pretty rare...

Star Saber & Victory Leo are rare now? :sly2:

Man, should I even regret selling off my sealed pieces awhile back? (Those were AFA worthy!)

I guess I'm losing touch... :lol

Automorpher, I see you as one of the Godfathers of Transformers collecting, and I'm pretty sure you know a whole lot more about collecting than I do! I also can't imagine you losing touch, and I'd say you are one of the 'go to' guys for more accurate price estimates on TF's.
Anyhow, Star Saber or Victory Leo are not rare as such, but just like all Japanse exclusive releases, it's always going to be harder to find that the Hasbro TF's which have been released (in much larger numbers, I'm presuming) for the US market and in the rest of the world.

To the OP, would you be so kind as to refurbish us with some glorious pictures? At least try to make some of the boys here green with envy. :ev:

Yeah, I wish I had the cash when you had them both for sell...I remember them well and both were certainly AFA worthy.

If you do AFA one or both, I would just recommend getting the UV protective case to protect the box. Especially if you decided to leave them out on display. As a collector, I wouldn't want the light harming the colors of a special piece, imo.

This was about 12 years ago mind you, all TF's were way cheaper.

If pics are truly necessary I can in a couple days. I'm not trying to show off or anything just wanted a "price check". In the process of moving myself. Plus my collection is still where I left it three years ago, my parents house.
