$274? Spend half that and pick up an ungraded Nemesis Prime and the Shadow Commander set!

That would be cool, if not for the fact that SDCC Universe Nemesis Prime is one of the lowest-priced and most common exclusives you can buy. I don't see an AFA graded one being worth much in the future.

Wow, that's overpriced. I don't like AFA to begin with though.

Personally I feel that Hasbro AFA grading their own stuff is contemptible; and especially with all the horror stories of how badly they pack things for shipping.
AFA = license to print money.

I guess this is HTS attempt to sell an exclusive that they made tons of and can't sell for retail?

Buying an AFA graded item from Hasbro is the only way to get a near mint condition package from them. Since there is demand for AFA, they will sell it. It is a collector's wet dream.

Yeah but with Hasbro's crappy shipping it won't be AFA Graded 9.5 when it arrives at your door step.

Wake up to what again? Oh yeah, paying almost six times what a toy originally sold for because it's now in a plastic box with a sticker that contains some numbers - I forgot.

lol, just kidding; AFA's just not my thing. Congrats, nonetheless. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

They also have quite a few AFA graded 25th G.I. Joe figures which is strange as those are not exclusive at all to HTS. It's very disconcerting (to echo Draven earlier) that they've decided to sift through their own stock for the packages in the best condition while, at the same time, sending shipments to their customers for regular figures with little concern for effective protection. Most of the figures I've received have had some sort of damage and I've read reports of similar experiences with HTS. Thankfully, I open them up anyhow so I don't care, but what of the people who do? HTS is essentially creating an artificial market (at some level).

What's next for Hasbro? Are they going to start "damaging" packages straight out of the factory that are directed to the consumer while preserving a few for sale as AFA'd examples on their site?
