In this case, the Pimp Destro from this year. The one I got from HTS looks damn near flawless, and I was wondering if exclusive, low-run toys like this appreciate at all with grading.

For obvious reasons, crap like Wizard and Toyfare is no help.

I feel you there, I've heard how corrupt it is, but I wondered if it was worth it for the little guy (ie, non-scalpers or store owners) to do

Couldn't hurt I suppose. Personally I would just get a case to put him and know how much I hate you for having one and I don't. :p

BTW good to see you on bro!

    I wouldn't personally, but I don't see the harm.

Appreciate it. My time is my own now and not the Army's, finally, so I should be around more.

I'm not a fan of AFA... but I won't do my typical long post of what a waste of time and money it is and instead just say instead that it's your figure - do what you want with it.

Click on "search this forum" and type in "AFA" (unless it's too short for the search engine) and find out. there's been lots of topics about them.

To put it nicely their grading is at best extremely inconsistent, and at worst highly corrupt. Either way I have no faith in them. They are useless.

I don't have anything AFA graded, nor plan to, but when I got this 2 weeks ago I did think that the grading cost vs. reward would be well worth it. It would cost $18 + roundtrip shipping. $20 more for UV protection. I'm dissappointed in the figure, not pimp enough.

The only things I see worth getting graded, is if you have some older MISB items you're gonna sell at some point. With the newer stuff, there will always be too many on the market from people keeping them MISB and in great condition, AFA graded or otherwise.

There's a big difference when there's only 2 on ebay in maybe a month 1 afa and 1 otherwise, and a couple on ebay every day.
