I find the notion of an AFA-graded toy that came in an open plastic tray sealed in a plastic baggie absolutely hilarious. :lol

afa cant even grade misb toys right, what makes them think they can grade toys out of the box or never came with one. I'd rather the mentally ill grade toys. and this seller is a nimrod to boot-makes for a very interesting couple. i have been following this guys auctions for a while, and this guy would afa his grandmas dentures if it would turn a profit.

Ridiculous, but the item has ended.

I presume AFA graded this piece simply because there was no actual boxed versions of the toys available.

Well I think the problem is like the comics crash in the 90's.

back in the day, kids read comics and very few survived in good condition. Those that did were very valuable. Then everyone bagged and board everything and market fell out.

Now look at Transformers. OUR g1 figs are bangedup.com. THey are worn, broken, stickers missing. Now that we are seeing the value, we keep our boxes, store them in boxes. keep them in good condition, take inventory of the bits.

The problem isn't that this guy is protecting a figure, it is *EVERYONE ELSE IS TOO*. If there were 1000 Alpha Trions in good condition, I bet in 10 years there will still be 1000 Alpha Trions in good condition.

Ridiculous, convention exclusives are already expensive enough. For that kind of cash you could get some serious G1 action. I can't understand spending it on a redeco of a £20 toy that was available last year!
