    I'm optimistic for:

    1) a "Reissue", "Encore" or whatever name/term you wanna call it. It was released as an eHobby exclusive back then so I don't see why we won't see him appearing again. ;)

    2) him to be released in Diaclone Blue. Go on, market him under any exclusive label & I'll still buy it. :)

    Interesting.

Does anyone know, did Hasbro or Takara ever actually release a bluestreak toy painted this way?

The original Hasbro wide release Bluestreak never looked at all like this- but this sure does look very close to the toy in the hasbro catalogs.

I didn't realize such a toy had actually been produced. This is kinda cool.

From my understanding, it was only released under the diaclone line. Hasbro used the diaclone version for the box art and catalogue images but the blue version was never sold in Transformers packaging, only the grey version.

Damn e-hobby, they preferred a 'silver' bluestreak re-issue instead of a 'diaclone' re-issue, lol...

    Ebay:
There are actually 3 versions of the figure in terms of color that were released in the 1980s ....silver, silver/black, and blue/silver. The silver one became the G1 toy, the silver/black one was used for the animated show, and this one became the boxart. Not very many blue Bluestreak figures exist. The silver/black one was reissued through Ehobby.
