That's quite a bit of wishful thinking.

I wouldn't say it is overpriced. After all it is a 1984 original Optimus Prime with no flap crease AFA graded. I myself have a AFA graded 90 Pepsi Prime, which is the highest one out there. It was on the frontpage of tfw2005.com one time. My asking price was 4500, and I had offers as high as $4g, and this was 1 year ago.

Screw the AFA. Giving reasons for folks to ask out-of-this-world prices...

    Bah!

the AFA isnt asking for a lot, it is the buyers who are wiling to pay. I would rather pay double for an AFA figure than trust some seller who is using his independent grading system. I am sure we have al been ripped off by some "inexperienced" grader. I purchased a "misb" megs for 600 only to find it had been opened. The seller claim he didnt know cause the tape was still on the box and didnt "appear" to have been tampered with. What can you do when you buy online and cant inspect it in person? You have to trust a 3rd party like afa. Look at all the KO figures and boxs out there, it is buyer beware now a days.

I just wish AFA wouldnt grade and leave the grading up to the buyers, just an AFA sticker saying yes, its sealed would do fine. but those glossy ass cases can make any old piece of garbage look like gold. AFA needs some competition.

It was a pun based on the topic. No need for a retort. :p
