Watching this closely, going to go off of the price when I put my afa graded grand maximus up. A legit sealed grand maximus, not some qualified junk.LOL

Too bad he didn't get it graded when he first got it before all the "moving around". I'll guess $5900 due to the condition of the box. Being non-international it will probably limit the price.

I would guess somewhere between $3,000-$4,500 for it. Would love to bid but that's out of my budget...I do know a sealed non-graded Scorponok sold for $1,600 about 6 months ago though, that helps in judging the sell price of this. Both Headmaster bases are almost impossible to find in unused and certainly MISB condition.

It doesnt make much sense really. A qualified 75 grade is pretty low and it is not factory sealed. Normally a boxed grand max(opened) goes for $1000 to $1200 depending on the price.Add $300 for grading shipping and you are still $500 short of 2k. Personally this is a laugh out loud auction, I 've seen nicer max's in box go for significantly less. A perfect example of how a qualified grade can be decieving.

I get your reasoning when dealing with most G1 Transformers, but how many unused mib or misb US release Fort Max have you seen on eBay lately? Then add the fact that it's been AFA graded, and a population report shows only 4 have ever been graded (2 MISB and 2 Qualified). So that's why it's demanding such attention and probably a high selling price.

There really are an abundance of MIB Fort Max's in good condition. His EBAY price has hovered at $1000 for several years now. However there are rarely any legitimate MISB/ Factory tape sealed Fort Max's showing up on Ebay or Botcon. i suspect that if he gets KO'd his price will come down.

There's a difference in just MIB and UNUSED MIB, to get the qualified grade the figure itself has to be new and unused in all aspects (like unapplied original sticker sheet, etc.) or in the case of the smaller cars and jets, even if the box is opened the blister still has to be sealed to the card.

So back to the point, finding a mint unused GRADEABLE US release Fort Max is a hard find even if the box is a bit worn.

I hate AFA Graded junk. these things are meant to be played with :p

And since it's forever sealed the guy could be selling you a box full of heavy foam for all you know.
