    Hi,

I was just rather put out to discover that there's no simple editing option to cut adverts out of recoreded TV when burning them to a CD.

Supposedly I'm expected to try to find the file for the TV programme then convert the file to MPEG 2 or similar then edit it in some sort of movie editor programme

I have no experience of movie ediiting at all so I'd really welcome any tips and personal experiences you can offer to help me do this please.

I have Googled some stuff but much of it is far to technical for me to get much from.

I can't even seem to find a simple way to chop the ends of where the time over records or to insure that the subtitles are also recorded. ideally in a format that can be turned on an off.

If I get really stuck I might have to be forced to just got out and buy a bunch of external HD drives and forget about the DVDs

Any help would be much appreciated
