Okee, I have War Within Thundercracker & Starscream, and the main thing that's been driving me nuts about them is that their heads are gray instead of black. Now I see that WW Sunstorm has a properly colored black head, soooo...

...let's say I lose my mind a bit and buy some extra Sunstorm's for the sake of swapping the heads of Cracker & Screamer - how hard or easy are they to remove? Anyone do it yet? Upon quick glance, I can't see any visible screws. And having NEVER done any sort of custom or kitbash, I really don't know how to best proceed.

Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would imagine the heads easily pop right off since they're rubber, and painting them black would be easy. You could probably just use a sharpie or big black permanent marker on them.

Three screws on the back of the figure<remove. The whole back comes off easily and allows access to the head. Don't blow your money on extras. Just repaint using Testors acrylic flat black. It matches the black on the rest of the figure flawlessly and the grey paint on the head actually helps the new paint to adhere better. I can post pics if you want LMK.

I'd say take Death333's advice. And don't, I repeat don't use a Sharpie or permanant marker. They're not good in the long run.

    Good stuff - thanks!

Yeah I don't know how serious I was about buying extra Sunstorm's just for the heads, but it's amazing what you can convince yourself to do when the situation seems desperate enough :)

    @ Death333
If you can upload any pics, that would be awesome.
