Well this project is the result of more then 10 years of tests and constructing transformable costume (for thoses who dont know what i,m talking about visit: www.marksprojects.com) and will incorporate all that i have imagine and dreamed about in a costume... at this point it will be a decepticon and will transform into a mammouth type tank ... here are the specs and requirements for this project

1- 50 % of parts will be molded for durability and ease of work (head, arms, legs) and some of theses components most endure more stress then others so thats why they are being molded with a good thickness...

2- the alt mode most be able to move foward and the tracks (treads) will move as well.... it will give a more realistic feel... and possibly the turret will turn as well but unsure at this point...

3- weaponary most work (non-leathal lol) and sounds will be incorporated as well... transformation, weapons fire, voice also advance light systems as well... el lights, leds systems...

4- most retain about 95 percent mobility (this can be seen in the hand picture which retains that ratio....)

5- MUST self-transform... from vehicle mode to robot thru mechanical systems remote- control or activated by the person inside the costume... the reverse can only be done with assistance... since some of the mechanisms will be spring oriented....

6- will have the look of a transformer of the live action movie which will incorporate intense detailling and great paint application....

this project is for a new line of transformable costumes that i will develop eventually... i have specs and designs for 2 new cars and 1 motocycle that can self-transform as well....

as you can see by the pictures the hands are done and extremly detailled and articulated like never before ... the head is still in it,s skeletal stage and will change dramatically....

the upper leg sections are done and are in the process of being molded in 1 piece .... which will be a great advantage for durability purposes...

also as you may guess this project will cost in the thousands to complete... my best estimate at this point is 2000.00 so this is no small project lol

more to come real soon and i hope to have this completed in time for transformers 2....

the gloves are cotton gloves and all of the rest around it is custom made and molded so extremely durable and can take quite a pounding.... and no movement restriction which is important...

well the prototype parts are done with various thickness of styrene sheets and will molded in resin ... the most important part is to make sure that there are no bubbles and that the thickness is sufficient to endure stresses while transforming....

the body piece and most of the tank parts will be in styrene sheets but they,ll be bended and the least joints as possible... that is why some parts are casted...

oh ! and by the way something new as well with this costume... no joints in the structural for ... all independents pieces which will add to agility and durability.... it will all be mounted on a suit that will be durable and very flexible....

the best place and cheapest i know if is lairds plastics... they have sheets of different thickness and also their sheets are 4x8 feet !! so you have big enought sheets to do anything....

as for the eyes it will possibly be 2 small lighted lines with details inside them... i want a dark mysterious and menacing look as the decepticons have in the transformers movie
