This'll keep me good for a looong time. In fact, unless a representation that is somehow better is released in the future, I'll never need another Bee.

On the topic of the color, I think the tone of yellow is fine, but if I really had to nitpick, then I'd complain that it's just plastic and not a nice, shiny/metallic paint - something that resembles an actual car's paint sheen. But as far as I know none of the other MP cars* did this, so it's not a big deal to me at all.

    *Except Tracks?

I like your new sig! ^_^

I'd go as far to say that the color scheme for the 07 Deluxe Bumblebee is miles ahead of this one

    Thanks. :)

Really? 07 Deluxe was one of the few Bees I've owned, and I never thought the colors were that good. It was mostly just solid black and marigold plastic (with some sparse metallic dark blue and silver), which was neither necessarily screen accurate nor particularly eye-pleasing. MPM Bee at least uses nice silver and deep gunmetal tones.

Can anybody confirm if the MPM's yellow plastic has a metal flake finish, similar to what a lot of Generations figures have done? (Combiner Wars Cyclonus, for example.)

Oh, when I said "color scheme", I only referred to the choice of yellow plastic. Should've clarified that, sorry. I do enjoy the abundance of darker tones on the MPM

I've got one on order from the chosen prime. I hadn't seen the hasbro pictures with the blah yellow. I bought it with those Takara images in mind.

That combined with the fact that I'm getting short on display space has me a little peekish about the purchase

Congrats on getting one! Looking forward to your review :)

Here's the first question in a line of many. How many people were there besides you at Toys R US that were intent on purchasing the MPM figure? I haven't heard of an official release date of the figure for Asian countries, so I'm curious as to how many people were waiting on Bee (and accurately predicted his availability).

For all we know, Actar could be a giant. Let us not forget the MPM-4 female hands fiasco and the testing of our sanity as we waited to see if the figure scaled properly :p

You know, I was so sure this thing was unpainted yellow plastic, but after this latest round of pics, I'm not so sure. Now this could all just be lighting/photo resolution etc, BUT, in these two pics, there appears to be some pooling of paint around the edges in the recesses. Yellow paint, specifically, always seems to do this.

The roof definitely appears to be painted, especially with the tell-tale pooling along the edges. This is a separate piece too, not molded in clear, along with the windshield, and painted. So what purpose would there be in painting the roof if it was also ready molded in yellow? Also, check the panel lines at the front of the car, looks like painted edges again to me.

So..hmmm...not sure anymore. Perhaps he is using that same thin, super smooth paint TT has bee using since Tracks? Hopefully we get some confirmation from an English speaking fan soon.

It never even occurred to me that the whole car was slathered in paint. I'm still clinging strongly to the assumption that only the clear plastic pieces (his top car part by window and his wings) were painted with a yellow. It would disappoint me even more knowing they did put in the effort to paint the entire car, but failed to get it close to the H.O.K. tone.

I think we need look no further though. Brother @Actar (see above) just got the figure, and he's going to be entertaining all of our collector concerns :)

Not many at all. I was probably the only one... (^.^') Unfortunatly, the news that he was going to be released at this event wasn't widely reported.

Haha, I am a giant, but it is really small.
