I thinking of constructing a "raised sleep with winds" on my classics Optimus, or rather Henkei Convoy, replacing the goofy looking wind vane and to cover the exposed head. Here are some
    examples below:

Basically like the design Motormaster has. To you pros and experienced customizers out there - what method would you use to do it?

    thank you:cool:

I'd recommend finding a model kit the same size and kitbashing/reshelling it.

Take the top, spinning, part of the torso off of Deluxe Optimus, and use that. Add 5mm plug and voila.

I'd probably just scratchbuild my own, using thin sheet styrene and either a CD jewel case or TF window packaging plastic for the windows.

The ideas above are also great.

Classics Deluxe, from the 2-pack. It was also recently used in United, but you can more then likely find the original for cheap.
Yeah, there isn't much of an angle to the Deluxe's chest. It's kind of flat at the windows.

I was wrong though, you don't even need to add a 5mm peg. The thing pegs onto Voyager Optimus' back.
