While browsing the toy isle at my local Wally World I took a second look at the Activators Megs and it hit me "HIGHBROW"

Took Megs apart and removed the front gun. Removed Megs head and started the painting process. Before I painted the chest section I had to add a layer of sculpt over the embossed Decep logo then replaced with an Autobot one (from reprolables of course)

    Then came the head . . .

I had nothing that looked like the original toys so I had to make one out a KO Starscream and various plastic pieces from my fodder bin.

Found 2 Devastator KO guns to rework and Viola, Highbrow is done!

Almost forgot I added some cool looking caution, exhaust port, Etc ... stickers on various spots on HB.

This looks great! I love those Activators so much detail in such a small package.

This also makes wonder how Movie Incinerator would like as Highbrow.

I remember that. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the hands were accessories. It would've been off-the-hook if you'd modded it so the hands were behind the props, and they folded out of the way, so there wasn't partsforming.

I was in the process of making this actually. I found another Leader Megs and I was in the process of taking him apart and such. I thought I was doing something unique too because when I first saw that alt mode I thought of Highbrow.

I know it won't be nearly as good as many others on here but it's all good.

I knew someone would beat me to this. I've been kicking around the same idea, along with other "Headmasters". Excellent work, man! Glad to see others with the same ideas (AND actually doing them for us to see and learn from). The head looks awesome. Between this and your Scourge, I think you've inspired a few people to give 'em a go.

I agree--never back down if it's something that YOU want to do, regardless of how it stacks up against anyone else. If you're happy with the results, that's what matters most. Getting any other tips, ideas, or constructive criticism is just icing on the cake. Everyone can still learn from others do--which means someone could easily learn from what you do.

As I just mentioned above, I had this idea kicking around too--and I can guarantee you we weren't the only people to think of Highbrow when seeing that figure. There are tons of others who have similar ideas, some may actually go forward with them, while procrastinators (like myself) kick back and dream up these cool ideas and think "one day I'll do it". lol

Just keep working on yours and just so you know, I'll definitely be looking forward to it (being a huge fan of the Headmasters series). How far along are you with yours, Maximo Prime?

The face looks pretty rough, but considering the head is the size of a lima bean it's pretty good. The paint job is fantastic, and people are right, you can't even tell it's an animated figure
