With all the complaints from Hasbro about the economy, where we get smaller figures, fewer paint apps, and less detail all-around, does anyone think that Hasbro will eventually start making non-transforming transformers again?

Robot Replicas and Robot Heroes may make a comeback, but I doubt it'd be due to economic decisions (aside from them wanting to make money).

As long as they're closer to Action Masters than Robot Replicas, I'm all for it.

I'd rather have blocky, cartoon-accurate ones than hyper-detailed Revoltech knockoffs.

You know, part of me really digs those things. I figure, if I were younger and actively playing with my toys (in the backyard and all), I'd be down with those, no doubt. I mean, they could fight alongside the Ninja Turtles and He-Man figures quite nicely.

Action masters styling with modern day articulation would be cool.

That'd make them mini Revoltechs, which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Just reissue the G1 Actionmaster figures. Not even bothered about the transforming partners or vehicles. The character figures themselves would be enough.

This thread should be moved to the general discussion or the toyark since its not about a transformer toy.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to see these in any store.

    Hell no.

Action Masters were the cause of the dead of Transformers in America. Well that and a lot of other things.

I buy them to transform them because they are Transformers. Sorry but that's me.

Hasbro isn't stupid enough to try and make Non-Transforming Transformers again as part of the main line again. Even Action Masters didn't stay fully non-transforming, the Action Master Elites at the tail end of the line had the ability to Transform to some degree.

They kind of have on the Japanese end...
There are the Model kits of Movie Prime and Bumblebee, and the Revoltech Optimus.

How is it that I am not talking about a particular transformer toy, unless you agree that actionmasters were not transformers. Actionmasters were the END of g1. Even the backstory for actionmasters claims insufficient resources being the cause of them no longer being capable of transforming. Hastak has been producing more and more legends figures, which was also being done near the end if g1 with the micromaster sets. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but Hasbro hasn't done much this year to make me think otherwise.

I think we're blowing the issues with size and paint apps completely out of proportion if we think that Hasbro/TT are somehow going to reduce the Transformers line into Actionmasters again.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong. Just eager to see some new plastic crack like the rest of us.

When did Hasbro use the excuse of the Economy to explain the smaller figures? Because the total plastic weight is still roughly the same accounting for the figure and the Mech-Tech weapon together.
