I've painted mine silver, and while I love it as an improvement over the flat plastic he shipped with, I'm looking for a more show accurate slate grey finish. Can anyone recommend a good acrylic shade (or mix of shades)? I only specify because I've had more luck with those than enamels. Thanks!

Games Workshop Codex Grey for the base and Fortress grey for highlights/wear or even white. It would look similar to Cheetimus's which turned out very nice and was non-metallic IIRC correctly.

Make sure to do a 3 layer coat if you can, with a metallic gray or pewter gray.
The look he has in his CGI version is polished steel, so a tiny bit of translucence
on the surface will help give it the right "depth" that it has on the show.

some silver acrylics tend to run on the thin side and if your looking for cartoon accurate details just brush him with the thin silver paint
