There, I said it. Bring the thunder.
No thunder from me. I enjoyed AV1, and I enjoyed AV2. I was actually kind of surprised that there were no further AV movies (starring Jim Carrey). It wasn't exactly on the same level of excellence as, let's say, Ghostbusters, but much like Ghostbusters it had two solid movies that, mysteriously, stopped the series.
QFT, I don't think I ould have said it better myself.
Yeah, this. I really wish there had been a part 3.
The fact you put thought in to this worries me greatly.
Ace Ventura was kinda crappy, and I haven't seen the sequel, so I have no problem with someone asserting the sequel is of equal quality. Knock yourself out, sport.
I wasn't aware this was a sensitive and/or hotly debated internet subject.
Love both and enjoy the many quotes from both.
Ie; "your balls are showing"
I thought both were great! However, I have to say I like part 1 more. Again, I really enjoyed both, but the main think bothering me with the second one was his Ace lines. "Alrighty then", "reheheheheheealy". It just felt like he was trying too hard to duplicate his character from the first one, at times. Regardless, bumblebeetuna!
You want thunder? Oh boy. Alright! Here it comes!!
Yeah both were great movies, too bad they never made a third.
I enjoy both movies.
Second movie made me pee in my pants. So I'd have to hand it to Ace 2.
"Let's do all the things that YOU want to do!"
I have both films & I like them!! Having said, the two films did differently in the Box office
AV1:Opening weekend U.S. gross: $72,217,496
Total U.S. box office gross: $159,537,178
AV2:Opening weekend U.S. gross: $37,804,076
Total U.S. box office gross: $108,360,063
Wow... I was not expecting agreement from anyone. I had just read an article somewhere about movie sequels that were really horrible and was appalled to find AV2 in the top 10. Couple that with the fact that all of my co-workers seem to love the first movie but not the second and I thought I had the makings of a fun filled flame war.
Until next time........ CHICAGA!
So you were trying to start a flame war? The mods will not be pleased
...and we shall never speak of that abomination
I have to say, though, I enjoyed the second one a little bit more than the first, but that could be because I saw it first.
