There are two obvious problems for making an accurate G1 Galvy: the upper arms and the lower legs. I think I may have thought of a way to fix this. The inner sides would separate into two parts and slide into the outer sides. Then, the outer sides would slide apart. I've drawn a very simplified image in MS Paint to explain.

The red's the outer side, the blue's the inner side, the purple's the inner side that's being covered up by the outer side, and the green's the plastic that the outer side slides in half on, if that makes sense.

Obviously, there are a couple problems with it, such as how the green would stay straight when the outer side is slid together.

    Comments?

Are you talking about how to make the round legs flat on one side so they can come together into a bigger round back half of a cannon?

You definitely need to explain the problem you're solving more clearly. Might need to explain the solution better as well- I think we're all too confused about the problem to begin to have any idea as to the solution you're preposing.

Proof compromise can sometimes be truly great.

We'll see if Takara does a MP G1 Galvatron...if they do, they will force all the doubters to wet their collective pants.

    Just you watch.

    Look at IG's post.

Exactly. Well, that, and how to make the arms wider (i.e. how the original toy's arms look). So, essentially, I'm trying to think of a way to get this to transform into this.

No. I don't have even a fraction of the talent needed to do that.

    For absolutely no reason whatsoever.

I know, I just thought of that. Actually, it should probably be put in Creative General Discussion, since, as I've said before, I can't make anything like this.

From an engineering standpoint, what you propose is not feasible. The upper leg could no longer collapse into the lower leg because it is now occupied with the other half of itself. Not to mention, when in leg mode, half of it would be completely hollow. In order for it to be structurally sound, the plastic would have to be kinda thick. If that were the case, the leg would no longer be round as one half is noticeably larger in diameter than the other to allow room for it to go inside.

We're better off having the legs just be half circles that are flat on one side.
