Optimus Prime looks less abstract and more "crude interpretation" (no offense.) Shockwave looks a bit more like he'd fall into the abstract genre, though. Good work on both.

My suggestion is, if you're aiming at a more "abstract" look, to skew the lines a bit further on the characters and to pick out the really identifying traits for each one and really emphasize those - Optimus's Faceplate and his chest, for example.

For an abstract look to come out you have to make the abstraction look purposeful, I'm not saying yours was accidental but it needs to appear more "extreme" so that they don't just look like wonky paintings.

While not the best, they are pretty good, especially considering the media used isn't exactly the easiest to work with, and I've been inspired to try a bit of abstract TF art myself. I rarely get inspired to draw, so good on ya! :D

Not bad. Not perfect, but not bad. Shockwave is the better looking out of the two. I've been meaning to get back into painting. Just need to get out to patcatans and get the supplies.
