How rare was Universe Vector Prime; I managed to find one for ten bucks at TRU a couple years back. The Tfwiki entry says he was very rare; just wondering...
    Thanks guys.

Didn't know he was rare, but he was cases with Inferno who is-- so that would make sense.

He gets a lot off flack about being Ugly, personally I love him. Applied to gold paint to the lovely cog details all over his ship. He looks like a real time traveling robot with what the did.

Inferno also shipped in the next assortment with Leo Prime and Overload. Technically, Vector Prime IS fairly rare, but that doesn't mean a thing if nobody is looking for him.

After two releases in Cybertron, there really wasn't a pressing desire among the fandom for the character, regardless how "rare" his toy ended up being.

From what I remember it was pretty readily available on HS as well. I know that's where I got mine. Love that mold, it's great.

I have both white and gold versions. Like the gold one more I think. Glad I have both options to display.

I'm cool with the Universe version, you don't get too many doo doo brown bots nowadays. I just wish he had electronics.

Saw Vector Prime once around Xmas time the year these were out at TRU. Had an employee open a new case for me cause the one on the shelf was crushed. So technically I saw him twice in one day. Still have him sealed, never had the original version. Kind of bummed about the electronics, I remember the sounds in the store being pretty cool. Same goes for the Leo Prime repaint, no electronics.

I never knew people thought it was ugly, this is the only version of the mould I own, but looking at some pics online it seems to be the nicest and less garish one of all. I really think he's really cool looking; also Safeguard it's not bad either.

The Universe 2.0 Vector Prime is the closest to the original 13 primes version. I think Leo Prime (red/blue) is more rare.

    The First Leo Prime......:puke:

Vector Prime is not a bad figure, certainly not Great but worth it for those who collect the Ancient Transformers.

Some correct me if I am wrong. If i recall correctly, I think Transformers Cybertron was the last series of transformers to have electronics in voyager sized bots.

    I'm fairly sure you're right.

I'm also fairly sure the electronics in the Hasbro version of VP sounded pretty ropey?

I've still got mine MISB since I have the original white one both loose and MIB. I only bought it because the shop was clearancing them. Dunno if they were rare or not as I'd seen them in a few places (and I'm in the UK). Maybe the demand is after the fact and not at the time?

I think I bought him online when I got Inferno. He ain't got shit on Grappel, Windcharger and Chopsaw. They need to change their definition of rare.

I love him BTW, for the Last Autobot homage. Looks fantastic with Botcon Alpha Trion!

Disagree if you must but I personally felt that the Galaxy Force/Cybertron version looked miles better than the Universe Repaint. :redface2: :redface2: :redface2:

I still remember seeing CASES of the Inferno/Vector Prime at TRU. They may be a bit tougher and more expensive (more than $10) to find now, but rare? No.

It's a pretty awesome toy, though :rock

i got a cybertron vp dirt cheap on ebay because the seller didn't know what it was and had it in kind of a gerwalk-like mode for the picture. think i paid about $10 with the shipping. i think it's a cool figure, and the electronics work, but not with the key.
