Wish me luck. I fell asleep the first time I tried watching it.
It's got it's good moments/scenes throughout IMO, but yeah...
It's not too bad. Just ignore the unnecessary humor and plot holes, and you will enjoy the movie. After all, ROTF has one of the best scenes of the trilogy, and in my opinion Optimus' best scene, the forest battle.
My expectations are very low overall and my body is prepared to just accept the Bay-ness.
I actually LOVE revenge of the fallen. LOVED IT MORE WHEN I FIRST SAW IT THOUGH. i miss that :`(
I remember when I saw it in the theaters for the first time. It blew me away. My mouth was open the whole time during the forest battle. That scene was really one of those "holy shit" moments. The desert battle, reviving Jetfire, Shanghai, etc. There were some really great scenes. Same with TF1 and DOTM. Seeing TF1 in the theaters for the first time is what got me into Transformers, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Then there was DOTM, but I'm not even get started on how I felt the first time I saw it. It was just too epic. The first time is always the best. It's like you don't realize that there are a lot problems with the movies that other people may realize but maybe that's just me. Of course after re-watching ROTF,DOTM, and TF1 more times, I realized that there many unnecessary scenes that could have cut and the terrible humor didn't belong in the movie. But what are you going do? It's Michael Bay.
i like these movies soo much and i barely find anything wrong with them. i like how michael bay did it. there were only like 2 or 3 VERY Short scenes in EACH movie that were unnecessary for me... And with me, tf1 got me interested in it. but tf2 is what really made me a fanatic about it. There was just something there. seeing all those tv spots for ROTF on tv was like "Wow.. it looks changed from the first one. in the first one sam was 16 and they were just discovering things about the tformers for the first time and that was the main plot. the discovery. but on the ROTF tv spots, it was like, now sams grown up a little facing an even harder life with these transformres. i remember the first tv spot was like, " This isnt my war" "i fear it soon will be" that was sooo awesome! it seemed so different. thats why im a major fan of sam. TF2 was just a really unique movie human wise because of the transformers..the transformers plot made the human story really good. i mean once you watch it tooooo many times (like i did) youre kinda used to it and the WOW factor isnt always there anymore. but just watching the dvd i remember the feelings i had in every particular scene and i really REALLY miss that. it was even more special than when tf3 was coming out. DONT GET ME WRONG i was excited more than anything when there was going to be a tf3. ill be the same exact way with tf4. but when i saw the ROTF tv spots, it was like, wow theyre really making a sequel that is way bigger than the first. that was new because i had no idea they would make a sequel. DAMN i really miss that :`(
"Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" 10 New Official TV Spots (HD 720p) - YouTube
Damn straight. And on the rare occasions you can find the fight on YT with the added IMAX footage, in HD, it's a complete adrenaline rush. I still get goosebumps every time I see it.
if you have plotholes, go to my thread "tf2 plotholes"
and ill try to explain it so theyre not plotholes anymore
I like ROTF, The Only thing I Didn't Like About it, was Some of the Humor,
and I Wanted More Optimus in It!, I Didn't Like That he was Gone for A lot Of the Movie!
but besides That I Love It
if only there was little to no humor. then it'll be perfect.
You have so much to live for! Don't throw it away so carelessly!
The thing that's really killing it for me is he messy robots. I still have a hard time telling who is who. BTW, who's head does Optimus rip apart in the woods, and also who do they tear apart at the bottom of the ocean floor when reviving Megatron?
I missed the first 30 minutes to the first hour but I liked it. As another poster said, ignore all the plot-holes, crude/uneeded humor, and Devastator's wrecking balls and you should be able to watch the whole thing.
Really, its not that hard to tell them apart if your paying attention to how they look like. By the way, Optimus ripped off Grindor's(Blackout) head and the bot they tear apart is just and random constructicon drone called Scrapmetal.
THERE ARE NO PLOTHOLES! GO TO MY TF2 SPOILERS THREAD
AND POST AWAY. Ill show you! lol
RotF was an alright film, I like to look at it as a decent G1 Episode.
It has it's flaws.
Some animation errors (Or something in that area)
Acting for SOME actors could be better.
But thats just me.
