I never collected TF action figures, but I'm seriously considering getting Prime figures (for support, and out of love for the series).

Can someone tell me two things?

    A) What's the difference between the Voyager, Deluxe and US versions (quality, dimensions ... what is it?)

    B) Which of the above versions is *guaranteed* to have all of the TF Prime cast?

I will answer both of these questions.

A.) The difference between a Voyager and Deluxe is size. Deluxes are smaller, Voyagers are larger. A Voyager is almost twice as big, and has a higher "piece count", meaning that the toy has more intricate engineering than a deluxe. The US versions of FE are almost all identical to the JP versions, with the exception of Bulkhead, who's JP version is a forest green. The US toys for "RID" are called "Arms Micron" in Japan, and include "Microns", small robots that become weapons that suit the larger character. These may see release in America separate from the RID toys, but this is yet to be seen.

B.) If you want to have the entire TFP cast, you should look at RID (US) and Arms Micron (JP). All the FE figures have been remade in RID and AM, and if you can deal with some of the figures being inferior to the FE versions (such as Optimus and Bulkhead), you should go with that. As for which size class, deluxe or voyager, includes all of them, neither do. You will need to mix and match from both sizes.

Wait. You've never gotten TF's before? Someone get this man a Leader Sentinel Prime!

Anyway, the FE figures are going to be harder to find, though. Canadians can charge a lot, and eBay won't help, either. Though you can try to mix, like get FE Prime, RiD Bee, FE Bulkhead, RiD Arcee, ect.

I'm looking at Youtube vids ... hmm ... I think I like the Deluxe ones the most. I like their small size, yet they have good amount of detail. They're also cheaper.

Yeah in terms of bang for your buck I find the deluxe versions are the best. Though if you're intent on getting EVERY figure in that size you're going to be left out, since there's a couple characters (Bulkhead for instance) who are probably never going to be deluxes.

    This.

For a newcomer I could totally vouch for this option.

^ I second that. The Prime Cybeverse figures so far have been consistently good, and very detailed for their size. Plus you can collect the whole cast!

I also highly recommend Deluxe Soundwave - he's great fun!

I would advise against getting Knockout. He looks distinctly un-fabulous.

Thank you for all the suggestions! Your opinions are noted, and not in the way Prime says it ... :D
