So the original Car Robots Gigatron couldn't turn into all ten modes that Galvatron could and RID Megs could because he was made from the Galvs mold. So what's different about the original Car Robots version that doesn't allow it to transform into all ten modes? Pics would be nice

not 100% sure, but I think they just reworked the joints so they could get a wider range of movement from them.

If I remember correctly, Gigatron had six modes, but Devil Gigatron was able to have 10 because of some minor mould changes; nothing major, a few extra tabs and holes I believe. The RID Megatron, using the reworked Devil Devil Gigatron mould, could indeed be transformed into them all.

I believe the only mold change were 2 notches cut into the wingpack section to allow a firm connection when forming the elephant's head. Otherwise CR Gigatron should be fully capable of the other 9 modes and the elephant mode is just a little less firmly locked in place.

Edgewise is right. The holes in the wing section were the only remold made in Car Robots Gigatron. I have both Gigatron and Devil Gigatron figures and Gigatron can make all the ten modes without no problem but the elephant mode is not so locked.

The US RID Megatron was made using the Car Robots Gigatron mold, so he has the holes in the wing part.

:lol  Spring loaded really big hand, don't forget!
Awesum intro scene, though; a giant flying hand smashing out of the side of a skyscraper = badass!
Such a pity some countries never even got to see it on TV...
