I always thought it'd be stupid to have Grimlock without a Tyrannosaurus alt mode.
Having him as a car or truck or something besides a T-Rex just kinda defeats the whole point.

I also don't like how he's the only Dinobot that gets any merchandise. What about Swoop, Sludge, Snarl, and Sludge? I think we're LONG overdue to see the original Dinobot team with new molds. Hasbro hasn't made a Sauropod transformer since '85, for cripe's sake.

    Anyone else agree?

I think it would be awesome, but I'm not going to cry if they don't. One dinobot is better than zero, and Grimlock was always the best character out of the group.

There's also Energon Swoop that combines with Energon Grimlock.

I could be wrong, but I thought the Dinobots did get a remake with BW figures. If I remember correctly they were repaints.

Yeah, but I've seen that thing....it's more of an insult than a tribute.
    It seemed like:
"Oh, we COULD make a cool figure, but we'll just take a crappy min-con that was supposed to be for another series, put Swoop's name on it, and viola, instant tribute. NOT."

They wouldn't even have to be deluxes, they could be scout class. Actually, now that I think about it, a scout class Dinobot team would be pretty awesome. As long as they didn't compromise the robot modes.

And I know Grimlock and Swoop had Energon figures, but those were also pretty bad. The whole combining thing didn't work well, at all.

Making a new team seems to me like it would be easy to do, and would probably bring in moolah by the truckload. If they made new molds of the Dinobots, I'd buy em all, no questions asked. Well, unless they REALLY sucked.

    Hmm, maybe a subline?

Weren't the Minicons in the Classics line supposed to be for the Cybertron line, but they weren't in that line for some reason?

Dunno if that's true, but that's what I read.

For you, perhaps. I liked them all, but Slag was my fave.

They did make a subline. 2 in fact. Once during Beast Machines and once in limbo between RiD and Armada. But those were organic and not G1 so I guess it doesnt count right.

It's speculated ( maybe proven ) that the classics minicons were supposed to be in the Cybertron line, but came out too late so they were packed in the classics line instead.

Will there be one? If it's true then I'll be one happy camper. That and WW Megs will make Titanium a better than average line.

I've got the whole line of the Dinobots between RiD and Armada. They're generally classified as Armada, and even came in Armada style packaging, what with the red & blue, but they're actually branded "Dinobot" on the pack, instructions, and sticker inserts.
Interestingly enough, the of the Dinobots, Sludge and Snarl I always felt were underused, but it was Slag who didn't get a remake in the packs. They ended up being Grimlock - Velociraptor, Swoop - pteranodon, Sludge - "dimetrodon" (fin backed), Snarl - Stegosaurus, Triceradon - Triceratops (WHY couldn't he have been called "Slag"? :(  ), and Slapper - Ankylosaurus.

Besides, "Slag" has certain meanings in certain cultures, besides being the de facto curse word for Beast Wars. :)

Triceradon (the grey one) is my vision of Slag upgraded to Maximal tech anyway. He hangs out with Energon Grimlock.

Ah Grimlock, vying with Bumblebee for title of "Most Over rated Character."

I was never big on Grimmy's personality (In cartoons or comics) or of his alt mode. We need a Classics Snarl.

I rather liked his comic character ^_^ Smart, but brutal, violent like the Decepticons but mostly stuck to the Autobot side, detested weakness but hated those who exploited the weak more. Plus, "King Grimlock" issuing orders with his band of thugs. Quite fun. And a battle on the moon. He's Prime's external spine in the G2 comics as well.
