If you are thinking of getting HA Ironhide, please be aware that he is going to be a remold/repaint of RoTF Jungle Attack Ironhide.(Probably without his add-ons, but with a new cannon for the humans to use.)
How do I know this? Look at Human Alliance Ratchet:
Remolded so humans can fit in his vehicle mode and use a new cannon.
From what I've seen, Jungle Attack Ironhide has been remolded from the RoTF 'Nest Deco' IronHide, so his doors open a new way,and his vehicle mode possibly has space in it for HA figures.
I'm just warning you all so when HA Ironhide comes out, you don't start complaining about having bought all of Hasbros other Ironhide clones.
If you do, you can have an army of weapon specialists, and many weapons to share between them. :)

    Um...no

Its already been stated that the "Human Alliance" Ratchet we saw was merely a mockup to show how the idea would work...

As long as you don't stick anything in it...yes. :)
But seriously, will Hasbro make a brand new Ironhide, when the one of the HA size is already at their disposal?
And was the HA Ratchet a third party concept?

No, not a third party concept.
Takara used a Ratchet and modded it soley to show off the idea of human alliance. Why make a complete prototype for a concept that might not get approved? In numerous interviews its been stated that often they bash an existing fig to show off a new idea.
Personally, I don't think we'll ever see HA toys at the size of Ironhide and Ratchet, since they would have to make a new price point for it.

Ok, yes a hasbro toy rep hasbro did mention a HA Ironhide a LONG time ago, as being the figure that would follow HA BB. These were the only two figures mentioned in the line at that time.

It has been generally assumed for quite some time that the rep was either confused, or that plans have changed since we now know of 5 figures in the line, none are Ironhide and Ironhide would be considerably bigger than the other similarly sized figures.

This brings me to point two- the current ironhide Deluxe toy is NOT even close to being in scale with the other HA toys and is actually smaller. BB and SS are both WIDER than this truck that should be HUGE. He's probably close to the same scale as the deluxe versions of those figure, but very undersized for a 1/24th HA scale (although HA don't seem to be true 1/24th).

I'm skeptical I could even fit a HA scale figure into my Ironhide- but if I could, that wouldn't make it the right scale.

Actually, if they make a remold of ratchet for the HA line, and he comes with movie accurate weapons, I'm cool with that. IH already has all of that, so we don't need him in the HA line :)

So... you're warning us not to buy a figure that has never been announced or even anticipated, because you've determined that it will be a remold based on the fact that Hasbro has, in the past, made an unreleased prototype/proof of concept of a completely different figure that was a remold?

So... next you'll warn us not to buy Masterpiece Rodimus Prime because he's flimsy and fragile, and you know this because Masterpiece Starscream and Megatron were flimsy and fragile?

There's a special space for him reserved on my shelf right next to my flimsy, fragile and wonderful MP SS.

What the hell is going on here? We're being warned to not buy something that as of now isn't goingto exist, and we'll never be able to even have the option to buy?

    I'm confused

    it was NEVER announced.

as part of the whole "concept development" process, hasbro will modify existing figures to show what they want to do with a line or subline.

so for HA, they kitbashed ratchet and gave him a few basic additions, including a seat in his right shoulder. this was just to show the concept, nothing more. it was shown in a magazine, right along with a concept version of the mech alive gimmick, which was just a torn up protoform prime with internal parts showing.

HA Ratchet never existed, and never will likely never exist. he's just part of a long line of hasbro concept models, that include the likes of a model car torn apart and shaped into a basic robot mode with superion's head attached (probably related to the alternator line, as a distant cousin), a G2 megatron that turned into a video camera, and a basic boxy form of armada megatron with beast wars T-Rex megatron's head.
