So I was watching the episode for the first time, wondering how llamatron's balls fit into the whole story, when I saw a little scene that jolted my memory but I couldn't place it.

When the Dinobots escape from the lab, and the Police guy asks "How bad is it?" we see a shot of Grimlock spitting fire, followed by swoop diving in, and immediately followed by Slag knocking a car over and whipping with his tail. The sequence of events, in addition to the angles of the attacks remind me of the attack on Unicron's ass, where Swoop dives in, then Slag charges in and starts whipping Unicron's hiney with his tail. Coincidence? The guys in Animated tend to make their nods much more subtle than "I would have waited an eternity for this" in Cybertron. I wonder if this little attack run was one of them.

 

That scene reminded me the same thing!

 

yeah, also when bulkhead trashed slag, he said "Scuse me", which was the line Slag said in TFTM when he flattened the quintesson with the door.

 

??? Watch the movie again,Sludge is the one using his tail,Slag was burning a hole in Uni's but.

 

Not sure about the Unicron butt attack nod, but this is definitely right.

 

simple, Megatron could create this ultimate scheme to create a giant Decepticon war planet but all the decepticons could get built before the autobots find and attack, would be unicron's hind quarters, which would promptly be destroyed by the dinobots.

that, or we could just get armadacron or enercron, bend him over, and just nod our head..... kinda like you all are doing to me right about now... or would that be more of a side-to-side thing? XD

Yeah I got the characters mixed up, but I think just the attack run itself was similar. And again, I might be reaching, but I know that the creators are fans, and that they prefer easter egg type nods to the old show rather than blatant

Bulkhead "Hey Ratchet, isn't that the same attack that the same attack the Dinobots used in the Great Wars....the one highlighted in Transformers the Movie, which you can purchase at Wal-Mart for 14.99?"

 

Yeah, there are big similarities. We get the tail whipping, fire breathing, swooping... What more could you want?
