Beware the love bugs, welcome to hurricane season, the heat sucks, and we're in a drought.

For a second there I thought Florida got some rain. I know there is a drought going on in some parts of the state.

We actually had the smoke from the other side of the state a couple days ago. It wasn't pleasant.

Yeah, Palmetto bug is a ginormous reddish cockroach that likes to live in palm trees and sewers and can glide... especially right onto your head! Oh, and they love popping up in the damndest places in your house, and all the spraying in the world will only slow them down. They don't quite infest the same way standard cockroaches do, fortunately.

Palmetto bug = giant flying cockroach. They cll them palmetto bugs, because if all the old folks who have retired to Florida found out that those are cockroaches, they'd all die of heart attacks.

Polatka's a pretty uneventful place, unfortunately. Driven through it many a times. Although you probably won't have too much competition when it comes to finding TFs. Welcome to Florida, have a nice stay.
