Okay, now it's my turn for one of those  -movie threads.

If you could choose a song to represent a movieverse character, what would you choose? It can be a lyrical song, or a piece of orchestral music, it can be modern, older, whatever. Whether it's the beat or the lyrics that you think match up well with a character or represent them, it doesn't matter.

For example, I was watching Happy Feet Two the other day, and there's a scene where a whole hoard of massive elephant seals come charging in to help save the day. They sing (in their deep, rumbly Australian accents) a rendition of "Rawhide".

Happy Feet 2- Rawhide (HD) - YouTube

Now, I know Bayformers Ironhide isn't the crusty, G1 cowboy, but I couldn't help but think of Ironhide when I heard this. You know, the cavalry coming in. Ironhide's got the situation handled. Leave it to him. Ironhide barreling down a dirty country road with this playing in the background. Or even on his radio.

Jazz: "Pick Up the Pieces" by AWB. Or something done by Stevie Wonder (Superstitious) or even James Brown.

Ratchet strikes me as the dignified type. He'd listen to something classy, done by a talented musician like Billy Joel.

Or Optimus. This one may be a bit too spot-on, but honestly, if Optimus were driving onto the scene, I can only here a few select Jablonsky scores accompanying him; "Optimus", "Arrival to Earth", "Autobots", etc.. He wouldn't be one for a flashy rap. Or a boisterous song or a sappy opera.

How about you guys? Which character and which song? What songs would match Starscream? Sentinel? Shockwave? Feel free to think of as many as you want. :)  The main focus was for movie characters, but if you think of other, non-movie characters, feel free to add them.

ie, TFP Soundwave. Daft Punk. And only Daft Punk. :D  Something like "End of Line" from the Tron: Legacy score.

This time I'll post the villain's, next post I'll go for the heroe's.

No Natcht, that is not Barricade's song, THIS IS:

Hammerfall- Punish and Enslave(Lyrics in Description) - YouTube

    Megatron:

Motorhead-King of Kings lyrics - YouTube

This just seems like the kind of stuff he'd say.

    Starscream's:

    Motörhead - Bomber - YouTube

He is, all in all, the master of the skies.

The Fallen's [or rather, what the Fallen should have been].

Judas Priest The Four Horsemen/War - YouTube

Soundwave, but I guess Scorponok, Ravage and Frenzy fit by association:

Iron Sky Trailer Soundtrack - YouTube

That's a bizarre choice, but really, I couldn't think of anything else for Soundwave, you can really see that mighty cruelty and obsession with order characteristic of Soundwave there, fitting for the sadistic Movie-verse SW.

One for the Random Decepticon Troops [Genericons and Protoforms] because the poor guys deserve something to cheer them up, always getting killed:

    Motörhead - Killers - YouTube

    Laserbeak's:

Motorhead - Smiling Like a Killer - YouTube

[Boy, Motorhead is damn good for villains].

    Bonecrusher.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwY3Ftfdy6M

    Last but not least, Blackout:

HammerFall - Any Means Necessary - YouTube

    Oh, almost forgot, Sentinel:

    Brave New World-Iron Maiden (+lyrics) - YouTube

Represent his feelings regarding Earth/Cybertron quite well, actually.
Seriously, you can even picture Sentinel lecturing Optimus with this exact same speech.

I'm willing to bet only Tyler and maybe Natcht will care enough to listen this soundtrack. But I made it anyway. HO-AH.

Ironhide's theme would be "hey hey, my my" by Neil Young, which contains both the lyrics "more to the picture, than what meets the eye" and "it's better to burn out, than it is to rust".

Sentinel Prime would be... Sentinel Prime from the DOTM score.

    I don't think I get this game.

You know, like when people make character tributes on Youtube and they put a song with it.

    Think of it this way:

If the character was walking up on stage to accept an award, what song/music would be playing to accompany them? If it was their choice? Something that best represents them. *Depthcharge walks on stage, "Three Day's Grace's "Animal I Have Become" plays* Or whatever.

Or a character got their own TV show. What song would play during the opening credits? Something that would represent them. "Introducing the new reality show, "BARRICADE ON PATROL". *Inner Circle's "Bad Boys" starts playing*

Oddly enough, the DotM Sentinel Prime score would be the music that I would choose for Sentinel Prime as well. A little too accurate, yes, but just like my Optimus example, they would choose some regal orchestral score to play when they stepped in a room. :D

Some of the orchestral themes from the films made for the characters definitely do fit, particularly with Optimus, Sentinel, and Shockwave.

However, I heartily agree with the Elephant Seal version of Rawhide from Happy Feet 2 for Ironhide. The whole song even sounds JUST like Scorponok's "epic calling in the Air Force" theme."

The Dreads' theme could be, "Welcome to the Jungle" since they are more animalistic than other 'Bots.
