Warning! For those who haven't watched the latest episode "Operation Bumblebee Part 1" this is a spoiler. So if you don't want to be spoiled, it's better to leave this thread.

So MECH and Starscream are working together. Mech stole Bumblebee's T-cog, the organ that allows Transformers to scan vehicles and transforms. Mech installs in their prototype but the transformation test is unsuccessful. Then Starscreams shows up to give the prototype a drop of energon to show Mech what T-cog needs to function.

This seems like leading to giving Starscream a way of building an army of... well himself, much like how TFA Starscream created his clones.

Or could this lead to other development?

I think it may set up for Starscream creating an army for himself, but not clones. He may help MECH create their robot army and then pull off some Cybertronian trick where he implanted something into them to make them obey him only or something.

The only way I could see Starscream clones being possible is if Starscream dies/gets put into stasis lock and MECH gets his body. Then they copy his frame and everything to make their army.

I hope that in the case that Starscream (highly unlikely) dies, his spirit doesn't possess one of the clones.

I wondered because they scanned that helicopter. If they would make the combaticons like in the g1 cartoon when Starscream was exiled to that island.

Interesting theory. But Transformers series seem always recycle traditional storylines. That's why I think Starscream making clones is a strong possibility. Now there's a possible way to make an army. Maybe they won't be clones, but rather drones shaped in Starscream's image.

Speaking of clones... check out the beginning of THIS interview with Steve Blum and Jeff Kline. Maybe they are leaving us a hint?

It's either Starscream clones or Combaticons. Either way, I'm very interested to see where it's headed.

I'd rather see this than the clones storyline.

This particular plot line has got me on the edge of my seat ever since I figured they'd be trying to build there own transformer.
I don't think this will be a clone do to the size of the robot. I think it will either be the begining o the combaticons or it perhaps it will some how mimic skyquake and it will become Dreadwing

IIRC there is an article where they pretty much say that Dreadwing is a repaint of the Skyquake CGI model.

That would be the only way I would accept them to use a model from a previous character. I'm not a fan of using the same mold for different characters. Especially for characters like Ratchet and Ironhide

Some characters I expect to be repaints. Seekers for example. Dreadwing being a repaint of Skyquake is most likely a cost saving measure. I'm just waiting for Cliffjumper's CGI model to be used.

Granted SS & Mech may want an army but I don't think its going to happen.

SS & Mech may have a few TFs but not a whole army.

I am very much hoping this leads to Starscream making himself another squad of Seekers, and I'm kind of expecting it as well.

I want my seekers to share the same body type with starscraem not clones of him. Animated is the only show that could pull the whole seekers-are-clone thing off well and in the allspark almanac two it even explained that the decepticons had a thing against similar body types in the entry for the Autobot workers (though there were some exceptions) which explained why the Seeker hadnt existed before hand.

I hope not. I don't want copying from the TV show that just happened.

The title of your thread is a spoiler in its own right.

But if you're looking for Skywarp, Thundercracker, Slipstream and the rest of those guys, they already exist in this continuity.

They already sort of used it for Tailgate.

Also yeah, I'm hoping for Combaticons too...

If fake Starscream kills MECH I'll never call it Shrek-formers again.
