After being somewhat underwhelmed by the blocky, non-transforming Devastator toy, part of me has been hoping that Devvy will be represented in other lines, especially a robot replica version, or even turnarounds.

Although I've collected the entire set of main line, transforming toys from the 1st movie, somehow I also liked the robot replicas for their movie-accurate representations of the characters. With some custom painting and detailing, they look almost like the real thing.

I know they don't transform, but they make very good display pieces.

The first wave of robot replicas for TF2 (Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream and improved Prime) looks amazing, that is perhaps the closest we'll get to their movie aesthetic for a toy.

Thus I was hoping that at some point, they will release a robot replica version of Devastator as well, in his movie aesthetic, complete with intricate details and etc. Since its a non-transforming figure, I guess they might be able to make him look less blocky and more movie-like.

Of course, he might be bigger and cost more, but i'll gladly pay the extra if it means getting a realistic looking Devastator. Heck I might even custom paint it in original G1 colors.

Well, was just wondering if there's anyone else who shares my thoughts?
Perhaps if there's a strong enough demand for it, Hasbro might actually give us a better Devvy.

Unfortunately, that one is far from being a robot replica .. More like a legends class in terms of aesthetics.
