I played this a couple years ago and I figured TFW2005 people would love to see this.
It feels like the NES game that never was made!

This is the world of the Transformers, where things are not always what they appear. For millions of years, Optimus Prime and his valiant Autobots have waged a war against the cruel Megatron and his army of Decepticons. The battle which began on the distant world of Cybertron has moved to Earth, and the stakes are the very universe itself!

Enter the world of the Transformers like never before with Transformers - The Game!

    * Fight through five intense levels in the Autobot Campaign, complete with end-bosses and cinemas!

    * Choose a character and duke it out in Skirmish Mode!

    * Fight across time as Grimlock in the Dinobot Minigame!

    * Relive some of the greatest showdowns in Transformers history in Bonus Battles!

Created using the versatile RPGMaker 2000 system, Transformers - The Game lets players truly become More Than Meets The Eye!

    TRANSFORMERS QUESTIONS

    Q. What continuity is the game based on?

    A. It's generally just the G1 cartoon, mainly seasons one and two. There are some movie and post-movie events, though.

    Q. What character appear in the game?

    A. On the Autobot side, there are Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Jazz, Blaster, Springer, Hot Rod, Steeljaw, Ramhorn, Prowl, Gears, Windcharger, Cliffjumper, Grimlock, Slag, Swoop, Snarl, Sludge, Omega Supreme, Spike, and Brawn. On the Decepticon side, there's Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Ravage, Rumble, Laserbeak, Skywarp, Thundercracker, the Insecticons, Scrapper, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, Hook, Astrotrain, and Galvatron.

    GAMEPLAY QUESTIONS

    Q. How long is the game?

    A. The game was designed with unlimited replayability. You can choose from a variety of characters in each episode, so you can always go back and replay the level with a different character. Plus, there are unlockable characters and skirmish modes, so the game is very open-ended.

    Q. What's so special about vehicle mode?

    A. Every Transformer gains some kind of benefit while in vehicle mode. Some move faster, while others are able to fire weapons while in vehicle mode. Many Transformers deflect some or all enemy fire while in vehicle mode. Finally, a couple of Transformers regenerate health while they are vehicles.

    Q. I don't want to play through the whole game to unlock characters. Is there a faster way?

    A. Why, yes, there is. There most certainly is a way.

    Controls
There is no mouse... Uses the Arrows to move around and esc (Not holding it) is to transform.... Hold Esc then it ask to exit to the menu.... Space is to shoot and and enter is to select the thing you want to do.... Press on the Autobot or Decepticon Symbols to do select what you want too do!

How to do I download this game?

    Download it here!

    Step 1. Download the file “Transformers.zip.” It’s about 30MB.

Step 2. Unzip the file using WinZip or WinRAR.

Step 3. Open the “Transformers” folder and double-click on the RPG_RT icon with the little sword-wielding dude on it.

    Step 4. Enjoy!

Want to see the site.... Well go here but don't go here to go download the game!

The game seems to have a few issues with clipping / passability or whatever you call it.

Also, there are too many enemies or too few health power ups, making the game a little difficult, especially when facing enemies who take a couple of hits to go down.

I also don't like the way the graphics are a mashup of different styles, but I've seen (and done) far worse on RPG Maker games. I won't hold that against it because it does work.

The writing is pretty decent too. The story feels like it is a G1 story.

Honestly? I'd rather see someone's own work than their edited version of somebody else's game.

This gets me thinking that I should have a go at making the one I had on the drawing board a while back.
