Weird. Why would someone steal just the base and stand???? Maybe a mistake on the return? I'm curious about what everyone thinks. If this is off-topic then please ignore. Let's say you there are only two Skywarps available. Not mint as one is missing its base and stand and one is missing its the guns and missiles. Do you consider it stealing if someone bought both, completed their skywarp and returned the other one because it was incomplete. Things to consider: 1) The one being returned was incomplete before being bought and returned. It's just more incomplete now. 2) The buyer may or may not have know the items were incomplete when he bought it. 3) Does price matter. If the items were full price or on clearance. 4) In this particular case the store would be Walmart with its randomness so the incomplete-ness of the Skywarp does not affect its price.
No. And I didn't even need to read your things to consider. I'd do that in a heartbeat. I'd exchange the incomplete one if I could, but ultimately I'd do what I needed to do.
If there had been another and I had noticed complementary deficiencies, I'd have probably brought them both to the manager to ask if I could raid the parts. On some level, they'd have to realize that it's just one step away from the situation you describe, which I'd be doing anyway if they refused me. I see it as it's better that they can sell one complete one than lose the sale on two defectives. And hey, Dran0n. I kinda feel for you- not because your missing the stand, but because I'm sure whoever bought it and returned it did untold perverse things to it, which you obviously then have handled and became exposed to. The stand was probably not in any condition to return once they were through.
return that asap. If u have a reciept and explain the problem I'm sure they will issue a refund. This is a common problem.
At one of the local Wal*Marts around here at one point there were 3-4 MP Skywarps that were all missing their weapons and stands. Both the long and short missles. They were all at the same store as well. Very shady.
Someone pulled a douche-maneuver, and the OP gotted screwed. That sucks. If Skywarp was still in retail saturation mode, I'd say take him back w/ the receipt and have them make it right. Unfortunately he's not still readily available at retail, and if he was taken back, I'm not so sure any refund or store credit would be issued since he was purchased while on clearance. The whole situation is ugly and I feel for this guy. I also cant help but feel the animosity from Houndvoice. Oh well, its good to know that people here can/will help out if a stand is needed/wanted. Good rant. I had an extra stand and sent it to the OP. Why did I have an extra stand?....I bought an MP Skywarp and when I got home, I noticed Skywaro was missing. Only stand in package.
