I don't know i this belong in the toyark or here, but i've been wondering where everyone else would place thier G1 Perceptor and Blaster figures if they organised thier collections 2 years of g1 to a shelf(i.e. S1 AND S2 characters on one shelf and S3 and headmasters characters on the net) Now i know thier both S2 nd year 2 characters but they do eature quite eavily in Season 3 , especially Blaster.

    So..suggestions?

Got pics of your stuff :ev:  ?
Depends on what sort of shelving you have.
    Space available.
    Your preference.
    etc....
I have mine where they fit :D

Sadly this mostly premptive planning, I have all my G1 stuff on one shelf at the moment. But the eventual aim would be to have i spread out over about 4 :
    1- S1/S2
    2- S3/HM
    3- Master Force/Victory
    4-Zone/Battle Stars/MISC

currently i's just most of thetfc reissues with the occasional extra(predaking, star convoy, galvatron, my original PM prime and e-hobby astrotrain) Bu t ilike to think ahead and teh question was bugging me this afternoon

I've got my Perceptor on my S1/S2 shelf and that's were Blaster is going once I get him as well. My G1 shelf is basically done like this from top to bottom.

    Autobots Masterforce & beyond.
    Autobots S3 & Headmasters.
    Autobots S1 & S2.
    Decepticons S1 & S2.
    Decepticons S3 & Headmasters.
    Decepticons Masterforce & beyond.

Also, I wouldn't want to put Blaster with my S3/Headmaster stuff because that's where I'm putting Twin Cast in April. :D

If I actually organized my shelfs, they would be on the S1/2 shelf. But since i just randomly throw them on the shelf it's cool wherever they end up. Maybe someday I'll organize them.

In order to use space most efficiently, I place TFs on my shelves not according to generation, but according to size.

I've got it set up like so-

(one shelf of each type per faction)
    pre-movie figures
    movie and season 3 figures
    HM/MF/V/etc

Percy and Blaster are on the premovie shelf since that's when they first showed up. You could make the same kind of case for Superion since he was in season 3 a lot too, but I've got him on the pre-movie shelf.

I've thought about that myself...but I think I'd probably put them with the pre-movie guys since they did make their first appearence and were pretty involved characters in Season 2

I group my shelves as best I can but because of space, things blend. G1 & G2, MW & RID/CR etc. Universe & Robotmasters blend further. EN/SL and ARM/ML are better seperated by movable shelves. Most Beasts are on the carpet. GF/CYB are running out of room on a large coffe table that has drawers that hold G1/G2 Bio Cards and instructions. eHobby has ended up with G1 and now G2. Anyway, no Transformer is not close to other members of his/her own continuity. :D  I still marvel at how Transformers have changed over the years.

I'm doing a similar display in my curio cabinets. Blaster and Perceptor will be on the season 2 shelf because that is where they made thier debut...

The cassettes are the only exception I make to the "appearance" rule. No matter what season they appear in, they go with thier host bot. So even Ratbat and the dino-tapes would be on the season 1 shelf.

Those I had one the season 3 shelf. First appearance and all, plus that shelf had more space open.
