A question I've been waiting 22 years to ask - now with pics!

    Hello everyone,

Well, my G1 Grimlock has been missing his head & all weapons since I got him for my Birthday in 1985, and after 22 years.....I want them back. My question is - where do you guys get your parts from??
Also, my Grimlock is the only Grimlock I've ever seen with a Blue midsection (instead of the red). Why is that?? Thanks for any and all help!!

Sounds like it was a pre-tf. What's broken off, the T-Rex head?

I got a shit-ton of parts at Botcon, at parts parties and the dealer room.

The head is gonna be hard to find, might wanna buy a junker for that

Other than that, check out www.wheeljackslab.com

That being said, I think he has a borderline personality disorder, his prices are outrageous, and his customer service is erratic at best.

Nope, it's Diaclone Grimlock, from the Dinosaur Robo line.

Unless he meant that the body was blue, not the torso, and he's really misremembering his birthday.

I sit corrected. My fault for missing the little detail about the birthdate.

What's Diaclone Grimlock, or the Dinosaur Robo line? I'm just going off of memories here, but I'm nearly 100% positive he came in the G1 Hasbro-Bradley box - his stamp says 1982 Takara??

Sorry - I should have been a bit more specific - yes, the T-Rex head is what had broken off (about a month after I got him my a-hole sister threw him down the stairs:cry ).

Sorry to hear that man, my G1 Grimlock has suffered the same fate. Eventually I'm going to get around to fixing it, and I'll probably just look for a junker on ebay. Though if it's a junker that could mean it has the same affliction our headless ones have :lol

Diaclone is one of the Japanese toylines the original TF molds were from before they became Transformers. Thats why people call them 'Pre-transformers'

Heck we get a lot of people always selling parts here on the boards. Octane is pretty good about parts he has his own website for them. Gen. Magnus is another. As for the head a junker is your best bet if you want to fix him. Or you could always trade/sell it and put some more money and get a decent one.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!! I'm really hesitant to trade him since it was the last present from my paternal father (He left us for another family when I was 8:mad ). That is why I think I'm probably gonna gave to fix him - it just holds a lot of sentimental value. Thanks again!!

My Grimlock from early 1986 was fine until earlier this year. He took a nosedive off my TV and now he's got a broken head joint too. :(

You could try the "wanted" section of these forums. Someone may have Grimlock parts to sell.

what will be even more fun is tracking down that slick looking chrome sword Diaclone Grimlock came with.
