I've noticed that one Transformers Cases it tends to say TRA as an abbreviation of Transformers I guess on the side of the cases over the last few years.

But when I see TRA I think Transformers Animated.

So I got to wondering does it abbreviate or initialise things on other Hasbro toy cases ?

for example would Star Wars be STA or SW ?

I can't help but wonder if TFA is a mistake than no one caught. and it should really say just plain TF and maybe they adapted it to mean Transformers Animated when that came out but it sort of stuck even on movie toys / 2010 non Movie Deluxes etc..??

    Opinions ?

The only one I have is for the Generations assortment. Not too hard to figure out.

    TRA DELUXE
    GENERATIONS ASST
    W4 11

TRA is marked on all modern TF cases regardless of what line it is.

Yeah, I always thought TRA = TRAnsformers was a no-brainer.

Yeah, it's TRA for TRAnsformers. They seem to be restricted to the first three characters because when I see Hasbro's NERF cases come in at work it always reads "NER" on the side before the product name, i.e. "NER Nstrike" or whatever. Likewise, if there's a simple abbreviation, as with "Star Wars" they just use "SW" on the cases.

Yeah, it's short for TRAnsformers. It goes on to say size class and wave. Star Wars is SW, Spiderman is SPD, I don't think Thor got shortened and I can't recall any other toy lines.I work retail so I see the cases all the time coming off the trucks. :)

Yeah, TRA is "Transformers". The actual line is always listed immediately after:

    TRA Animated ASST W1R2 11
    TRA Generations ASST W1R2 11
    TRA Movie3 ASST W1R2 11

Yes that was what I was wondering about. I'll have to see if it's been TFA further back than a few years though... I think i've got an RID case some place.
