    HEY BEARDED DUDES!

I was wondering, do you wash your beard? With shampoo and all that jazz? I'm currently sporting a pretty lame goatee and suddenly realized that I should probably wash it. So I did. But I'm still not sure - are you supposed to? Or does the shampoo wash out the manliness?

Shampoo for me.. I've got a fuller beard though - with a goatee it would probably depend on the length..if it's relatively short, you can probably get away with the face wash, but if it's longer shampoo would probably be better..

Ship will probably offer you the best advice on this.

When I had my goattee, and it was really long, I used a little bit of shampoo on it...and, yeah, I combed it a bit when I got out of the shower. It helped to keep it at least a BIT organized.

When mine has (beard that is) any length to it, it get shampooed. It's just more comfortable that way.

I don't have a beard, but here's my two cents (1.95 cents American).

My guess would be that it depends on the length. If we're talking short then I guess soap would do the job, but if it's of any significant length then you should probably shampoo it.

And let me be the first to say... you haven't washed your beard ever? Eeewww

As someone who has a goatee for more then 10 years now, I can tell you that shampoo is the best thing. But beware not to use those extra strong shampoos that suppose to get rid of flakes and dandruff... bad idea......

I've only being sporting this version of the goatee for about a month. Last time I had one I did wash it once or twice. It's feeling a bit... fluffier now.

I find every time I shampoo my beard it becomes incredibly un-managable and wild. Just washing it with my face does the charm.
