    Hi

Just wanted to ask what this annual comic is? What makes it different? Will it be included in the trades?
    Thanks

It's basically a bumper length issue of the comic, which they'll do once a year. The MTMTE annual 2012 fits between issues 7 and 8 of the ongoing. As for whether they'll be in the trades, I'm not sure, but I don't see why they'd leave them out.

I am pretty certain I have read here on the boards somewhere that the MTMTE and RID annuals will be included in their respective trades.

Yep, the annuals WILL be included in the trades (this is IDW, they won't miss milking anything!)

For MTMTE the trades are as follows:

V1: Death of Optimus Prime, #1-3
    V2: #4-8
    V3: Annual #1, #9-11

I'm guessing the RID Annual will either tail-end v2 of that TPB series, or kick off v3.

Anybody else feel like they're cheaping out with only 4 issues per TPB?

To be fair, only V1 is like that. V2 has five issues, and the annual is double length, so V3 effectively has five.
