    question

when it coems to the more dangerous kinds of weather like tornado's for example

when it comes to tornado's is it just me or do they behave in such a way at times as though to imply that they might actually posess a limited kind of primal primitive sentiece so to speak

i hoenstly dont know what would be the proper words for me to descibe it but there are times when i just cant help but wonder if the very weather itself could actuallly be alive in its way so to speak

The short answer is weather has no consciousness. But like any complex system it can exhibit patterns which our brains would like to ascribe some meaning to. The reason we see recognizable shapes in clouds, pieces of toast and doritos is because our brains are hardwired to recognize and differentiate patterns. This tendency of our physiology has led to all sorts of attempts at imposing a mental order on a chaotic universe. Ancient humans were obsessed with divining meaning from natural phenomena. I won't mention the largest example of the effects of this behavior on human civilization as it's against the TOS, but you can probably get where I'm going.

I think that's what's scary about really bad weather is that it's unpredictable much like a living entity. It's also why fire can be scary too.

    Nope.

But then, I don't see things in clouds either.

Nope. I don't even think Primus really exists.

No, just...no. Tornadoes are just formed from wind alone, there's nothing that goes into a tornado that could form some kind of sentience.

Heritic! Primus DOES Exist! He was the Supreme Class toy from Cybertron's lineup!

Well... weather can act like it's sentient (it's not, but hear me out on this one). I mean there are lots of things that exhibit the same properties as living things. I remember an episode of Star Trek TNG where they defined life as being anything that can grow reproduce and die. Fire exhibits all of these qualities but is no more alive than weather. But I think the OP was just asking if it could SEEM like it's sentient. So I say yes. It could. But it's not.

Also, if Primus doesn't exist then does that mean Unicron doesn't either?

Weather may not be alive but, the earth that created/harnesses it is >.>

    Natural occurances could in some way, shape, or form be intended, we could never know;;

Tornadoes do seem to have a knack for finding trailer parks for some reason.

Probably because cars choke up the air with their fumes and all. But that would imply that the wind is a learning entity...

IN WHICH CASE, WE ARE ALL SCREWED.

First the trailer parks, then the world.

We would ALL know where the thread was going if we ALL knew who the guy in the tights was.

If I had to guess, it's a dude who has a special relationship with his dog.

This thread is not the first time OP has had trouble because he ascribed human qualities to something without them.

The greatest trick that Unicorn ever played on the world was convincing it that his toy would never exist.

She must have an issue with them.

That's because Tornadoes watch too much Jerry Springer and therefor are ridding of trailer-trash. :lol
