how might it go over if idw were to explore a character like drift as being for want of a better word a truly unnatural immortal in the sense that he and certain other cybertronians like him possess a aberant spark ithat while they can experiecce a temporary death brought about by sufficient life threatening injury to the body and or mind thier spark itself cannot be truly exstinguished unless two such truly immortal cybertronians were to fight to the death but the death only being permanent if one immortal cybertronian were to be killed by a fellow immortal cybertronian

in essence think of it as being what one might get if one were to incorporate and adapt the the basic concepts of the highlander mythos into the transformers mythos

it being a case of only certain cybertronians being the true immortals of there kind

No, I got that you were referencing Highlander. What I found random was you applying it to Drift, let alone Transformers.

Oh my God - GENOZAUR IS SHANE MCCARTHY! :p

Seriously, I don't think Drift needs to be any more of a super samurai.

When I think of this indestructible spark, ala TF immortality. I just wish we could explore what makes these events occur, is it the divine touch of primus? Is starscream some kind of chosen one? I think drift and SS might be related...

According to Beast Wars it was a mutation that led to his spark being like that. No divine touch or strength from the heavens. When the Maximals tried to replicate the mutation with a Maximal, well, Rampage happened.
