I was wondering what does Cybertron Soundwave's voice sound like? They don't show it here in the UK anymore (on Toonami they showed it up to episode 13, when it moved to Cartoon Network where it was showed up till the episode "Honor" :mad
    Is it like G1 Soundwave?

As I recall, there was an interview with a man (I forget his name) that is a big part of the Cybertron production and he said the fans would be "really excited" when they hear Soundwave's voice.

I think, from what some people in New Zealand have said, that Soundwave has his G1 voice, but "talks TV" like Wreck Gar.

I think it would have been sweet to give Soundwave a voice that not only closely matches the original, but he spoke it in an Irish accent.

you really have no idea do you?

nobody in the uk actually speaks like that. it may be a small country but 30 miles will make a large difference to the accent and dialect.

plus british includes scottish and welsh people. they definately don't sound the same

I think what he means is that Red Alert sounds more like "American trying to sound British" rather than actual "British".

Enayway, from what I heard from the people who watched the New Zealand airings, the Giant Planet characters all have Scottish or Irish accents.

And Soundwave apparently sounds like G1 Soundwave, but talks like a Junkion ("I talk pop music. Do you talk pop music?").

Why don't we bring Chris Latta back from the dead to have him voice Starscream again but give him Wheelie's rhymes? :p

Brian Dobson is British, despite growing up in Canada, and Red Alert is close to how he speaks normally.

Soundwave talking like a Junkion? WTF man! Cybertron is just goofy as hell. Atleast the toys are cool, I guess.

Considering that he often has a microphone like some TV host, talking TV is sort of neat.

Oh please god NO! I'm having flashbacks of Blowtorch from the G.I.Joe cartoon.

Besides if there was a TF with an Irish accent it would probably be drunk on Energon all the time.

...maybe a TF with a thick Dublin accent.

...No it's not, I talked to him for almost an hour at Botcon. His normal voice is close to ARMADA Red Alert's.

    Huh.

Well, I must have misread what somebody was saying. Thanks for correcting me.
