Can anyone tell me is there any specifics I should know about customizing...or kitbashing as they say?

I also cannot attend Botcon, and I sure am not paying that much for the rest of the seekers. I have Ramjet, Starscream, and Skywarp. I want to make the other three, but I am not that familiar with this. Is there any special paints to use? Do you sand the parts to be painted down to get better adhersion? Do you take the figures apart to do this?

And last but not least, is there special kits you can buy? For instance, using Ramjet's body for Thrust, but buying the special wings in a kit?

Please help so I can get past the EXPENSIVE seeker dilemma???

Thanks man, I greatly appreciate it! One more question though...any idea where to possibly buy parts for the classics figures, so I can make Thrust? For instance, his wings? I don't have a lot of time to mold my own, and I was wondering if they are available to buy...

Nope, you will have to make your own.

Oh well, at least I won't be spending $329 to complete the seekers...

my advice is to just save up and buy them. Usually singles from the boxed set run for about 30$ each on ebay or the boards.

if you try making them yourselves, your already looking at 10$ for the figure plus materials, paints and labor for a figure that won't be as durable or nice looking.

I wouldn't buy a Thrust for the wings, I was wondering if they were available to customize my own. But if they do end up for only that much between Ebay or even somewhere else, I may settle for that. I may still make my repaint of one for Thundercracker.

And by the way, I think Hasbro would have done much better if they made the seekers a store exclusive, and for Botcon, made new molds and did a box set of the five Dinobots. Just think of it...Grimlock, who is already available, but hard to find, Slag, Sludge, Snarl, and Swoop all together for the classics collector who wished for the five Dinobots.

Or the boards? Are they available on here too?

If I can get ahold of an extra set of exclusives, and Thrust has remolded wings, I'll make a mold of them and cast some for people to make their own Thrust.
