Steampunk. Not Hearts of Steel style, where they all turn into (more or less) realistic vehicles, but real Steampunk, with crazy vehicle modes that would be totally impossible in real life. There would be all kinds of Steampunk-style vehicles, like airships/fly machines, boats/submarines, rail vehicles, and cars/other non-rail land vehicles.

I also like the WWII idea, though, especially if they go into the realm of 30s-40s-style sci-fi for some vehicle modes. I'd absolutely love a TF of the flying wing from Indiana Jones, or of some of those beautiful HYDRA vehicles from Captain America: The First Avengers (examples here; the car, tank, and sub are especially beautiful).

I want post apocalyptic. I wrote a fan fic before about dark energon driving both factions insane where they destroy most of BOTH of their ranks, and most of earth while they did it. And a grown, experienced Daniel scavenged earth like in Fallout to find his father, who he felt may hold the key to saving, and recreating cybertronian and human lives.

Oh right. I knew that. Really, I did!

Anyways, the Iron Army stuff is in the right direction for WWII stuff. I'd be all aboard for WWII stuff!

I'm with you on the WWII-era figures. I love the KM stuff as well.

    Also, I love this idea.

One thing that was in Captain America that needs to be used more often, the Focke-Wulf Triebflügel:

Retro space rocket with a dash of realism and a huge helping of "what were they thinking?!" (could always do with more radially-symmetric alts, too)

Decepticons that turn into a Bachem Natter or a Komet would be insane. Such crazy planes!

A P51 transformer or a Messerschmitt 262 would be friggin' cool too.

And all those cool ground vehicles to choose from!

Got a couple posts about dark age and medieval.

What about a Human alliance or "headmaster" type TF that TF'd into a horse and the rider integrated somehow?

Nope, it's late 1800s style science fiction (think Jules Verne). Here are some examples:
