I just got the Season 2 DVD and listened to the commentary. One of the things mentioned was a new Starscream Toy with the Allspark fragment in his head. I would love to see this made, as this would be the perfect opportunity to get a show accurate Starscream, rendering the other Starscream as Thundercracker. Thoughts?
Starscream has a small shard of the Alllspark lodged visibly into his forehead. I think it had something to do with the Allspark blowing up in his face or something? It's been forever since I watched the ep. But it gave him the ability to create clones and become immortal.
Very interesting, but was it like a suggestion or confirmation of a toy like that? Anyway, Lord Prime, in the cartoon after Megatron killed Starscream, one allspark fragment got stuck in his head, making him immortal.
I'd rather it be a repaint with a remolded head, otherwise we'll end up with 2 versions of each animated seeker
Well considering that the toy is likely to fit only Starscream because of the fact that he's the only one with the fragment in his head and the fact that he is basically the Bumblebee of the Decepticons sales-wise, I don't see they using that version of the mold for seekers repaints.
I want a Susan figure. She needs her own mold. (See the thread in the animated discussion section to get the joke)
Rather, they need to get around to figuring out ways to release the other Seekers in the Voyager scale, some mainline and some as exclusives.
I customized my own Starscream head with an Allspark fragment, and the current mold is already an almost perfect toy representation (except for the color).
I just hope.. A: the head is removable, B: He comes in G1y Colors. I figured something like this would be on its way, hence I've passed on ALL previous Screamer molds.
I hope the toy actualy looks like his animation model! Y'know something IS wrong when your Activator does a better job at being accurate than your Voyager toy!
As much as I hate to pull this card, that's a matter of opinion. They're practically identicle minus the null rays which don't have to shoot missiles on the Activator. (but it's more bulky and not as slim or "buff" as the Voyager) Me? I see no problem with the SS we got. The design is fine, merely a slightly more detailed version of the actual animation model (not including aspects that could not be perfectly translated into the toy and the null rays which were done up to hold missles) the colours are fine. if he was bright blue I would maybe wonder, but as it stands he's a greyish-blue compared to the show model's blueish-grey, which is perfectly acceptable. He's still a great toy any way you slice it. Posable, fun to transform and play with. Starscream was nowhere near the Allspark when it blew up. Just by luck a peice landed in his head and brought him back to life as a "zombie".
