    So basically:

"It's a total toy-based movie but has enough explosions and awesome CG scenes to make you forget about the low-grade acting from everyone except for Shia."

    Cool. I figured as much.

Glad to hear Shia's the actor that sticks out, I was kinda expecting they'd all be more or less forgettable performances. :D

Sounds like what I was expecting, nay, hoping for. Not a bubbling review to make me suspicious (as such reviews on AICN are usually suspect), but one which pointed out both the good (ZOMG ROBOTS THAT TRANSFORM!) and the bad (script = camp).

    :thumb

I might even buy some overpriced popcorn when I go see this in theaters, for the full "popcorn flick" experience.

Well, seems good news. After all, I just want to see the robots. XD

    Excellent :D

The human performances were to be expected but hearing that Shia’s is above average helps a lot as he’s pretty much the main character in the movie so that really eases my fears on that front. Hearing Megan Fox isn’t all that bad helps too.

Overall that’s awesome news to hear only goes to keep the expectations high :D

Sounds kind of like how I felt about "Revenge of the Sith"

    Should be a fun movie!

Sounds like pretty much every episode of most of the Transformers shows I've seen...Only drawn out more. Pretty much standard Transformers if you ask me. And pretty much what I expected as a whole....I look forward to seeing it for myself :D

A.K.A. A good action flick...And sounds like the standard complaint of too much human time might've been an example of "jumping the gun"

Cool review. After reading the book, I understand where some of the reviewers opinions come from. Some scenes with the humans...could be done without.

When the best adjective a reviewer can come up with is "fuck-off," then I tend to disregard the review.

    Next, please.

I've got a bad feeling the critics will take potshots at the shit acting which might downgrade how good it is..... English reviewers over here are really spiteful like that.... Damn us fools.

I just don't want the script to be offensively bad and the robots to be so busy that you can't follow them. It sounds like both are a problem, so, not good..

Despite the previous bias at AICN against the movie and the fact it wasn't even a final cut, the reviewer still liked it. Great stuff! Even the 'negatives'
he raised weren't significant to me as I thoroughly enjoyed ARMAGEDDON and it's 'bad' acting and script.
I thought the "throw the dummy out the pram" responses on that forum were hilarious. They were so poised for the first review to be 'bad' that their petty disappointment was almost tangible.

Sounds like it'll be a blast. If they have midnight showings, I'll be there!

second review that says that the scene in the ice has been eliminated, i guess it wasn't that important anyway.

I know, and it's odd. I'd have thought that scene would be too pivotal to drop and also would have made a nice, "mysterious" opening.
Maybe 'ice' takes longer to render and they're still working on it!

That's the first thing I thought as well.

The second thing I thought was 'do you call this a review?'. It's just some chaotic, incoherent written piece of opinion.

well, that fits with my opinion about most AIC reviews *ba-dum-pish*

but i guess anything that gives a little of new info about the movie should be welcomed.
