Will someone please explain to me what it remotely great about Stan Bush. He's a little....stuck in the 80s.
The irony of this is a little hilarious. What do you think 90% of the people on this board are doing here?
God isn't that the truth, I'd rather listen to Stan Bush anyday over rap or yelling screaming my daddy didnt hug me music.
If you looked beyond what is being played on MTV and the radio, there is a lot of great music 90s and beyond.
This is true. Hell, Iron Maiden's still around, for you metal fans. I haven't heard them on the radio in a long time. Not... that I listen to the radio anymore.
But I mean, in my opinion, he sounds like any generic hair metal band from the 80s. There's a lack of emotion, energy, atmosphere, or mood. I just feel nothing from it. Regardless of how like able he might have been in the 80s, it's safe to say most surviving bands from that era have gone downhill.
Yep but wouldnt Lateralus consider them hair metal since they were from the 80s? I love Maiden and I dont think just because a band or artist still wants to make music they like which sounds good but isnt considered "cool" anymore that they suck. Maiden is great and I'm looking forward to seeing Stan Bush perform also.
Dude no offense you're right in a lot of what you say but 90 percent of all the new or popular artists today sound exactly alike, no one is original its how can I ride the train, music these days is more about image than substance, look at Britney Spears and all of those, thing I like about 80s music was at least there was a good melody and something u can sing along to, now its just loud distorted guitars and bad singing IMO, granted I'm stereotyping a lot here but thats how it seems.
Yup, both Maiden and Priest still kick serious amounts of ass. But then again...that's a bit of a derail. Stan Bush is great and all, but not even close to the same league as those bands.
Can't make it to BotCon, but I preordered the new album through LA Records. I love Stan's stuff. The new title track sounds great. His last album, Shine, was one of his best albums so far (and I recently got all of them, finally.) I'm looking forward to seeing if In This Life will be even better.
Call me crazy but I like new and Old. Tool rocks, and so does Megadeth. I saw them both in concert this year. Both great concerts. Also got to see NIN, and Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio. Good stuff. I liked the new Stan Bush song that is on his Myspace account. Good music, but a little forced lyrically.
I'll definitely pick this up at the Botcon, at least that will save shipping. P.S. I was a young guy in the 80's. some of the best years of my lfe too.
What the heck are you talking about? Lack of energy? The sucker is shooting lasers off his guitar in the video for The Touch! LASERS!!!
Who recommends any Stan Bush tracks besides those from the TF soundtrack? And what are these "bonus tracks"?
