Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Megatron supposed to be a jet in FOC to match his Prime alt mode instead of the updated tank that we've got?

 

No, if FOC connected to Prime, He would get it way later.

His concept art always showed him as a tank. There were a couple elements similar to his Prime alt mode and some people who insist on trying to directly connect the game to the show claimed it was a jet mode. But no, he was always shown as a tank.

If the Cybertron games continue, Megs will never get a jet mode. Scientists are frail and medium damaging, a complete opposite to Megs.

 

These "wings" sure did fool me.

Yeah the giant cannon kinda makes it look more like a tank (Before you say about prime megatrons cannon its no where near as a big as that one)

You would easily be fooled by his tank mode evolving into his jet mode in Prime. Not only does he have the wings, but he also has Prime Megatron's cannon on top his own.

 

The concept art looking similar to his Prime Jet mode may or may have not been intentional.

 

I'd say it was intentional given the other artistic influences in the game. But I still find it baffling that people think that looks like a jet.

 

Agreed. In the game, those little wings rarely even fold out.
