though I just missed the person who sold them by mere minutes, a guy had multiple boxes of real G1(well before kos came out) still in the boxes, sold them for less than $200. The one day I had quite a bit to spend too. Also at the same flea market I know of a guy who routinely goes there with G1 figures, and accesories, he's even had a fort max. The accessories included hms, pms, and tms. As for my fortune at flea markets, it's always hit and miss, the best one was finding a shit load of G1-BW Tfs for 25-50 cents a piece, then on the way home stopping at a yard sale and finding a couple TM & TM2 figures for the same price, including a complete Optimal Optimus
I haven't been to any flea markets recently, and I probably got more than this, but I remember finding a Mixmaster for a quarter, Junker Ramjet for a quarter, and a year ago I got a fairly mint Blaster for fifty cents or a dollar at a yard sale. While that's a fantastic deal, he also kinda pisses me off, because he's got a stuck door with Ravage trapped inside. I probably would've found many more had I been looking better, but I was more into GI Joe at the time and bought many Joes at the flea market.
Car boot sales are my thing. Last year I picked up G1 Scorponok, G1 Metroplex, G1 Ultra Magnus, G1 Hardhead, G1 Triggerhappy, G1 Skullcruncher and G1 Quickswitch (all complete, in great condition and with instructions) for around £50 all from one stall. Plus one G1 Runamuck without his gun for free. Got a couple of boxed early licenced figures of the G1 Omega Supreme mold (not KOs - Omegatron and Space Tank) for £15 each. A DVD version of MP Optimus and an FAB Blackout for £4. A complete (apart from two of the small yellow missiles) Armada Unicron for £4. Last week I got some BayFormers Cyber Slammers and an Ultimate Bumblebee for £10. Today I got a G1 Slag and G1 Swindle (no weapons unfortunately) for 50p and 20p respectively. Some old TF Ladybird books for 20p each and a couple of G1 TF character-styled stamps for 10p each. There's been other assorted TF bits over the last year but these are the ones that currently spring to mind. But as this thread isn't just about Transormers finds there's been hundreds of cool finds of old toys and books and furniture and stuff for a nice low price. I love car boot sales.
Nope, it's Blaster. That's why it's annoying, it just doesn't feel right having Ravage in Blaster. Anybody know a trick to pop open the door without breaking it?
1 of the Seacons(i forget which one) MOC and it was unpunched for 25 cents.Soundwave and OP for 1$ and a Slag for 1$.Not all at the same time.
It's been a while (10+ years) but our local army base had surplus sales. No TF's, but man, Uncle Sam sells the neat shit. Actually saw a man roll out on Hand-trucks, a portable radar monitor/display from the '60s. the local Dirt Malls around here are not Toy friendly. But old computers/ video games, gadgets and gizmos? they got tonnes of things. Amiga A500 and 2 shoe boxes filled with software? ~$35. Turbografx 16 and 4-5 games ~$15. Even saw a vendor selling those old, I MEAN OLD LED portable electronic games like you could get at Radio Shack (Like Football, Tennis, etc) for between 50 cents and a dollar each. i wish i could go out to bigger dirt malls/flea markets.
