So I've found an English version of Headmasters, and the dub makes me want to floss my brain with barbed wire. My question is, is there a place where I can find the Japanese episodes with English subs? Or do I have to suffer though this assault on my ears?

The series has been released on DVD in Japanese with English subtitles in both the UK and Australia. So if you have a multi-region DVD, getcherself a set and you're aces.

just floss your brain its more fun than watching headmasters, there are maybe 2 or 3 good fights between max and scorps the rest is just filler, circles of friendship and cromedome being pre armada hotshot. It made me really take a much better veiw of rebirth.

I think metroplex is call billy and grimlock gill if i remember right and rodimus prime is double convoy, Chris will probably be able to give you a much better veiw of just how awful the star tv dubs are.

The question I asked earlier was not a question from someone who's never watched English-dubbed Headmasters asking what the dub is like - I grew up watching English-dubbed Headmasters. The function of that dub is to tell a story, and you know what? It performs that function just fine. Never found it silly or mediocre in any way.

You sir have saved my life, but not my wallet.

Think of the worst dub you have ever heard, then make it worse. That dosn't even come close to how bad this awefull dub is. Maybe it's the version I have, but wen Blaster is Billy, and everybody sounds like they have the same monotone and underdeveloped voices, I feel like I should break out the barbed wire and start flossin.

Billy was Blaster.  Anyway, it's better than calling Minerva, Nightbeat in the bad Masterforce dub.

Masterforce and Victory are available too!

If you curious as to where this 'orrible dub came from, you can read about it here.

You ARE joking, right? You didn't find "Phillip" and "Billy" and "Wally" silly or mediocre? You didn't find

    "Are you okay, Billy?"

    "Not really." *dies*

silly? "Ninja consultant?" "Darn that Soundwave?" "This is Unicorn?" "Fortress Maximus has come himself?" The dub *oozes" mediocrity (at BEST!) and riduclousness. It does *not* tell the story well.

(Or arguably, it makes a bland, po-faced, entirely-too-serious show so hysterically bad that it's even MORE worth watching.)

Nothing funnier than any Bot that has a mask, the person who is dubbing them sounds like they are speaking their line with their hand over their mouth! It's so bad it's funny! But with this series you can almost tell that the tapes are second class bots. Not taken seriously.

Oh man. I just watched the Headmasters dub. It was so funny, that I couldn't stop laughing at every moment of it! :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  I wanna watch it again and again and again!

Though it is hard to believe that the dub is done by the same people who also dubbed over the Classic Godzilla movies professionally.
